Tasting notes
The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin Village comes from the usual array of parcels but is augmented by the inclusion of La Justice from this vintage. The refined bouquet is very pure with red cherries, crushed strawberries, and crushed stone - aromatics with a spring in their step. The medium-bodied palate has fine-boned tannins. It grows a little chalky towards the finish but fresh and minerally, almost terse in some ways. I admire its focus, and it should drink well over the next 8 to 10 years.

The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin Village has a very pure and perfumed bouquet, a mixture of red and black fruit, blood orange and hints of brown spice. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, a little dry on the mid-palate but with commendable concentration on the finish. Needs 3-4 years in bottle.
