A spicy, complex, floral nose of red and blue fruits as well as cedary herbs emerges from the 2019 Château Canon Pecresse, one heck of a Canon-Fronsac that's medium-bodied, has a balanced, layered mouthfeel, plenty of tannins, and a great finish. Clearly an outstanding wine, with lots of character, it will drink brilliantly for a solid 8-10 years.
The 2019 Canon Pécresse is bright and effusive, with lovely red berry fruit character and lifted aromatics laced throughout. There is a slight vegetal note lurking beneath that is a bit distracting. Otherwise, this tasty Canon Fronsac is nicely done. Tasted two times.
Aromas of blueberries, currants, wild raspberries and bark. Some pine cones and black olives, too. Medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins. Nicely fleshy on the mid-palate. Drink from 2023.
