Tasting notes
The 2019 Montrachet Grand Cru is concentrated and energetic on the nose yet displays laser-like precision, with notes of apple blossom, crushed stone and oyster shell. The palate is a live wire on the entry. There’s an electrical current running through this Montrachet. It’s at once tensile and steely but possesses real power and density toward the finish. This is a level up from Marc Colin's Montrachet and the aftertaste is extraordinarily persistent. Magnificent. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.

This Montrachet is at once very rich and very delicate with so much floral and candied-citrus character, as well as a touch of herbal freshness. In spite of the substantial structure on the full-bodied palate, this is really graceful at the very long, complete finish. Drink or hold.
