Tasting notes
Georges Lignier is the largest owner in Clos des Ormes, with almost two hectares of the Premier Cru, all on calcaire comblanchien. It’s always one of our favourites in the range – and that’s especially true in 2022. The wine offers delicate, floral aromatics, with dainty berries and a chalky freshness. On the palate, there is wave upon wave of red fruit, crashing against the tongue, full of chalky freshness. The finish is long and mouth-watering with a mineral intensity.

The 2022 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Clos des Ormes is more structured, unwinding in the glass with aromas of dark berries, licorice and musky spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied, supple and seamless palate underpinned by a chassis of rich, powdery tannin.
