Tasting notes
The 2003 Barolo Cannubi is another delicate, soft-textured effort. It is ample on the palate, yet appears to be built for near-term drinking. As it sits in the glass balsamic notes that aren't especially character istic of this vineyard emerge to give this wine added layers of expression.

The 2003 Barolo Cannubi is another delicate, soft-textured effort. It is ample on the palate, yet appears to be built for near-term drinking. As it sits in the glass balsamic notes that aren’t especially characteristic of this vineyard emerge to give this wine added layers of expression. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2013. Michele Chiarlo owns plots in some of the area’s best vineyards. In past vintages the wines have been all over the map in terms of quality so its nice to see him bounce back with these strong releases. Importer: Kobrand Corp., New York, NY; tel. (212) 490-9300
