2022 Chardonnay Passion

Bottled in September last year after nine months on the full lees, the 2022 Chardonnay Passion was very closed for about half a year but now opens with a bright, clear and Burgundian nose and dense and fleshy fruit. Though elegant and creamy on the palate, it has savory, mineral acidity that carries the wine to a long, tart finish with juicy fruit. The tannins are stimulatingly grippy and the aftertaste is salivating in its fine salinity. 13.5% stated alcohol. Diam cork. Tasted at the domaine in March 2024.
