Lots of floral notes to the nose here, alongside mulberry and cranberry fruit. A real note of iron on the palate, with excellent freshness that carries the wine wonderfully. Has a slight smoke and gamey note and subtle red fruits on the palate. A long elegant finish – a very attractive wine indeed. (AC)

The 2017 Vosne-Romanée Les Rouges des Dessus is focused, vibrant and super-expressive. Although it is not ready to show all its cards yet and will require cellaring, the 2017 is striking today. The purity of flavors and the wine’s overall balance are both compelling.
