Score 89-91/100 · Drink 2021-2035, Neal Martin, Jan 2019

The 2017 Echézeaux Grand Cru, which comes from the lieu-dit of En Orveaux and contains 80% whole bunches, has a well defined bouquet of brine-tinged black fruit; touches of blood orange emerge with time. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin and a fine line of acidity, although I find it missing a little complexity on the finish. So-so.
