Tasting notes
Cask sample. Light to mid crimson. A little sweeter smelling than the Marsannay Clos du Roi. Light, fresh and elegant with extremely delicate but sufficient tannins. Approachable early but no hurry. (JH)

They 2016 Gevrey-Chambertin La Justice was only slightly affected by frost, and it has an attractive bouquet with fresh red cherry and wild strawberry scents interlaced by rose petals. The palate is medium-bodied with a fresh, orange zest-tinged opening, tart red berry fruit with fine precision on the finish. This is one of the best releases from the domaine in this vintage.
About the producer

Domaine René Bouvier is a truly exciting estate in Marsannay – and one of a handful of properties bringing greater attention to a village once best known for its rosé.
