Score 91/100 · Drink 2020-2035, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Jul 2020
The 2016 Fixin 1er Cru Clos de la Perrière offers up a deep and complex bouquet of wild berries, orange rind, peonies, spices and dark chocolate. Medium to full-bodied, deep and fleshy, it's layered and sapid, with melting tannins and an inviting core of fruit.

Very deep crimson. Chock-full of personality: a bit of mossy rock, a little bit of strawberry jam, masses of broad sweetness on the palate. Really quite intense and very unlike any other red burgundy. A little bit more rustic than most in terms of winemaking but clearly made from a very exciting vineyard. Difficult to score! (JR)
