Tasting notes
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Sage Ridge Vineyard was aged for 19 months in French oak barrels, 100% new. Deep garnet-purple colored, it needs a little swirling to unlock profound scents of crème de cassis, mocha, blackberry pie and underbrush with hints of tar, new leather and cedar chest. Full-bodied, the palate is packed with muscular fruit, framed by firm, grainy tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long and earthy. 405 cases were made.

The inky black-hued 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Sage Ridge Vineyard is another 2018 that shows incredible purity of fruit as well as a sense of elegance paired with richness. Complex notes of smoked blue fruits, bouquet garni, chocolate, bay leaf, and flowers emerge from this full-bodied, silky Cabernet that has plenty of ripe tannins as well as a great finish. Give bottles a few years.
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Sage Ridge possesses striking aromatic intensity and breadth right out of the bottle. Crushed rocks, red fruit, dried flower and sage are all laced together in a beautifully sculpted, powerful Cabernet Sauvignon. The Sage Ridge is so distinctive, so full of character.
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Sage Ridge is deep, powerful and savory, with tons of character as well as personality. Grilled herbs, lavender, plum, mocha, blueberry jam and mint all run through this deeply expressive, beautifully layered Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2018 has so much promise.
