Medium ruby-red. Multidimensional superripe but fresh nose offers black raspberry, brown spices, espresso, licorice, minerals and pepper. Surprisingly reticent on entry, but thick and sappy in the middle, with very pure flavors of black fruits, minerals and spices. With aeration, this showed a more roasted ripeness and strong torrefaction notes, not to mention terrific persistence. A very young, chewy, dense and hugely tannic wine with significant potential.
