Score 90-93/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2008
Saturated, deep ruby-red. Musky, distinctly wild aromas of black fruits, mocha and smoked meat. Concentrated and rather powerful but juicy, with slightly reduced flavors of dark berries, minerals and game. As creamy as the Chapelle but not quite as sweet and lush on the finish.
