Barrel sample. He’s been making this and Latricières since 2009. The land is 10 times the price it was then. Vines aged 50 years. This has a seductive sweetness on the nose. Ultra-pure and so scented. Lifted, singing from the glass. Sweet on the palate too, so much fruit the tannins have disappeared. Refined and juicy with a lightness of touch that does not reduce the length and intensity. (JH)
