From a parcel Lafon has rented since 2008 and which is cultivated by the Comtes Lafon team, the 2019 Volnay Village exhibits aromas of sweet berry fruit, petals and spices. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and gourmand, with melting tannins and lively acids, it's very charming.

Having established Domaine des Comtes Lafon as one of the finest addresses in Burgundy, Dominique Lafon set up an eponymous négociant business in 2008. The vines are all farmed by the Lafon team and the wines generally leaner than those of Comtes Lafon, with less new oak.
