The 2017 Vosne-Romanée Village has a light, pretty bouquet of morello cherry, crushed strawberry and light vanilla aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannin and crisp red fruit, not long but seemingly open already. This is a Vosne-Romanée for early drinking.

From barrel and manually blended to get an approximation of the final wine. He groups parcels in the north and the south. Deep cherry red. Sweetly fragrant red fruit but also ripe and generous in aroma and a touch of spice. Really good depth of fruit and the tannins lightly chewy. Moreish and more savoury/spiced on the palate. Persistent and just a little stalky on the finish from the 50% whole bunch. (JH)
