Score 90/100 · Drink 2019-2029, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Apr 2017
The 2015 Fixin la Place, matured in 30% new oak, offers black cherries, bilberry and iodine on the nose, iris following soon after. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin that combine neatly with the fleshy texture, fanning out with confidence with plenty of blackcurrant and spice box towards the finish. This is a stylish Fixin and should drink nicely from one or two years in bottle.

(13% natural alcohol): Deep ruby-red. Pungent aromas of blackberry, menthol, licorice and violet. Intense, juicy and penetrating; still quite primary and tight but nicely balanced. The late-arriving tannins make this a relatively supple style of Fixin.
