2018 Refosco

The 2018 Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso is rosy and wickedly fresh with depths of dark raspberries, sage and hints of cracked black pepper. This washes across the palate with a staining wave of intense red and black fruits, drenching the senses in primary concentration. Deep and youthfully inward, the 2018 has building tannins that clench down hard through the finale while resonating with wild berries, licorice and penetrating spices. Yet, through it all, the Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso remains perfumed and lifted. A few years of cellaring will be necessary to enjoy this to its full effect.
