Bright, herbal, lemon-fresh and slightly creamy on the nose, the 7.5% alcohol 2012 Graacher Domprobst Riesling Auslese #11 has a well-concentrated texture and very good intensity on the palate. It is structured by its piquant acidity and lingering salinity. And while richer than the 2012 Himmelreich Riesling Auslese #04, it also seems even more complex.

(VDP 'Grosslage' already starting to appear on labels.) Very green leafy aromas not at all wedded to the honey fruit yet. Very hard work on the finish but it will doubtless all meld into something wonderful. (JR)
