Tasting notes
Bottled. Could do with a little more freshness and definition. Rather muddy impression overall. And very tough! (JR)

The 2017 Marsannay Village has a detailed nose with bright red berry fruit, sous-bois and crushed stone, becoming more floral with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red and black fruit, touches of orange peel and marmalade and quite a feisty, forward finish.
The 2017 Marsannay Village has quite a perfumed bouquet with blackberry, raspberry preserve, light figgy aromas and a touch of dried blood. The palate possesses good grip on the entry. There is still some new oak to be absorbed here although the confit-like finish is lovely. Give this a couple of years in bottle.
The 2017 Marsannay offers up aromas of sweet cherries and smoky currant fruit, followed by a medium-bodied, tangy palate with an elegant, nicely integrated profile and a long finish.
