Cask sample. Lots of oak on the nose and palate but this is supported by deep, concentrated black fruit. Vibrant acidity. Lots of potential (but needs lots of time). (AWH)

A blend of Chabiots, Chatelots, Plantes, Gruenchers, Aux Combottes and Les Combottes, Felettig's one-off 2021 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru 6 Climats amounts to an average yield of a derisory 12 hectoliters per hectare, but its quality is some compensation for the lack of quantity. Offering up aromas of plums, red cherries, peonies, spices and blood orange, it's medium to full-bodied, ample and seamless, with supple tannins and an enveloping core of pure, perfumed fruit. Only five barrels were produced.
