2019 Chablis Les Lys

The 2019 Chablis Les Lys 1er Cru is fairly backward on the nose, but there is impressive focus and mineralité . It's tightly coiled compared to its peers and nuanced with struck flint and smoke traces. The palate is well balanced with a crisp line of acidity, lively and focused, with a tangy, saline, albeit heavily-reduced finish. I appreciate the gradual crescendo of this Chablis, and it immediately beckons you back for one more sip. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
