Score 90/100 · Drink 2021-2028, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, May 2020
The 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Vieilles Vignes is a little classier on the nose compared to its Meursault counterpart - more terroir expression here with subtle dried honey and beeswax aromas. The palate is fresh and taut on the entry with just the right amount of acidity, saline in the mouth with a composed and harmonious finish. This is Girardin’s finest Village Cru in 2018. Good show. - Neal Martin
