Tasting notes
Flaunting a ripe, opulent and sun-kissed personality that is very much in line with expectations of this classic and cheerful vintage, the Lambardi 2015 Brunello di Montalcino is a rich and nicely plush expression. Ripe cherry and plum segue to spice, toasted aniseed and bright touches of balsam or medicinal herb. The tannins are very silky and fine, but the wine remains open and accessible nonetheless, ready for a cream and sausage pasta.

Tasted blind. Mid ruby with orange tinges. Deep fruit nose with a perfumed edge. Lots of stuffing, which just strikes a balance with the juicy acidity. Quite a bit of stubborn, slightly bitter tannins on the finish. (WS)
Aromas of cherries and watermelon with flowers and crushed berries. Hints of dust. Medium to full body, firm and silky tannins and a long and beautiful finish. Shows firmness and focus. Drink after 2021.
