Score 85-87/100 · Drink 2018-2025, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2017
The 2016 Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes was severely impacted by the frost, so that 80% was lost. It has a leafy, earthy bouquet that takes some encouragement from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp, slightly angular tannin, a dash of spice on the mid-palate, but it rapidly fades on the finish and leaves you wanting more. I found more substance on the 2015.
