Tasting notes
The 2018 Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots 1er Cru is resonant and powerful in the glass. Even so, my impression is that the 2018 is showing glimpses of its potential. I very much like the breadth here, but readers have to be patient, as the Suchots is pretty tightly wound at this stage. Ultimately, that’s probably a good sign for this top Vosne 1er. - Antonio Galloni

There is a whiff of prune to the jammy aromas of very spicy plum liqueur, Asian-style tea and warm earth. The palate impression is also almost liqueur-like with lavish richness to the full-bodied and palate saturating flavors that brim with dry extract on the firm, dusty noticeably warm and slightly edgy finish.
The 2018 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Suchots exhibits a deep-pitched nose of smoky, spicy berry fruit, ripe plums and loamy soil, followed by a medium to full-bodied, rich and layered palate that's quite firmly structured and seriously constructed, concluding with a long, fragrant finish. It will require and reward some patience.
