Tasting notes
The 2018 Kreuznacher Krötenpfuhl Riesling trocken –GG– is super clear, pure, fresh and flinty on the nose. Intense and powerful on the palate, this is a linear, salty-piquant and lingering Riesling with grip and tension but also purity and finesse. Still young but very elegant. Tasted in July 2019.

A dense and very intense white with a tight ball of fruit, yet driven and linear acidity. Superb depth and focus. Needs a few years to come out completely, but already energetic. Transparency in the bottle. Better after 2021.
Reticent at first the Krötenpfuhl slowly begins to unfold with manifold facets of fruit from peach and apricot to lime and orange, none of them pushy, all of them happy to merge into one exquisite fragrance. This fruity composition is served on a creamy texture, complemented by a chalky and almost soft minerality. Why do I always score lower when it comes to charm? (MS)
