Tasting notes
The 2018 Chablis Les Roncières 1er Cru is brisk and finely cut, with super-expressive citrus and floral notes pushed forward. A Chablis of wiry energy and persistence more than size, the Roncières is impressive

Aromas of white currant, blanched almonds, citrus oil and pastry cream introduce the 2018 Chablis 1er Cru Les Roncières, a medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny wine that derives supplemental freshness from its significant phenolic presence. As readers may remember, this cuvée hails from a parcel where the vines are planted east to west, so its grapes are never exposed to direct sunlight.
From an east-southeast facing section of Vaillons, this has a very sleek and pithy, grapefruit and peach-skin palate with a bright, glossy feel and a kick of mineral to close. Salivating finish. Drink now.
