Tasting notes
The Francesco Rinaldi & Figli 2013 Barolo Riserva Cannubi is an upright and austere expression. The wine shows a tart and tightly knit quality of fruit with prominent tannins, acidity and fiber. Wild cherries, mint, rusty nail, blood orange and licorice are protagonists of the bouquet, but the wine plays its strongest cards in terms of structure, backbone and staying power. This wine represents a selection of the family's best Cannubi fruit. This is an excellent bottle to add to your cellar collection.

A new wine in this range, the 2013 Barolo Cannubi Riserva emerges from the central portion of the Rinaldi family's holdings in Cannubi. Powerful, ample and explosive on the palate, the 2013 possesses tremendous intensity in every dimension. Wild cherry, spice, tobacco, leather, mint, dried herbs and pipe tobacco build in a vertical, explosive Barolo that melds together power and sensuality. It is such a gorgeous and expressive Barolo.
This is a structured and powerful Barolo with dark-berry, chocolate-powder and cedar aromas and flavors. Full body. Chewy and intense. Better after 2021 and onwards.
