Score 91/100 · Drink 2018-2028, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Apr 2019
An expressive bouquet of honeysuckle, fresh peach and ripe citrus oil introduces the 2017 Chablis 1er Cru Vaillons, a medium to full-bodied, expansive wine with a satiny attack, a succulent core of fruit and a saline finish. This is a very typical and nicely executed rendition of Vaillons.

Some attractive stony and chalky aromas, as well as white peaches and hints of yellow grapefruit. The palate has a great sense of detail and composure. Very tight with good density and weight and a tense finish. Try from 2021.

Clean and lively. Much more ethereal than the Montmains. (JR)
