Score 90/100 · Drink 2018-2028, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Apr 2019
The 2017 Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu offers up scents of citrus blossom, crisp green apple, fresh peach and oatmeal, followed by a medium to full-bodied, delicately textural palate with bright acids and a saline finish. This is among the more reserved of Simonnet-Febvre's premiers crus this year, and I suspect the winery may be holding more in reserve.

A very light and fresh nose with a cool, stony mineral edge. The palate is super plush and smoothly rendered with bright, fleshy fruit, carrying long and even. Great tension here. Try from 2021.

Little hint of green juiciness on the nose but still very much unformed and inexpressive. (JR)
