The 2017 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru, which contains "a few stems," according to winemaker Frédéric Barnier, has a gorgeous bouquet of raspberry, cranberry and touches of crushed stone and orange pith one of the finest aromatics from Jadot this year. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, demonstrating more weight and fruit intensity than its sibling Clos de la Roche. There is grip, focus and a sense of purpose whereas the Clos de la Roche seems to drink more easily. Superb.
