(made from parcels on the Brochon and south sides of the village): Moderately saturated red-ruby. Subtly complex nose melds black raspberry, plum, redcurrant, coffee, spices and a whiff of game. Then pliant, rich and rather fat in the middle palate, displaying subtle saline soil tones and a firm spine of acidity. This broad village wine spreads out nicely to saturate the palate and resound on the finish, where the tannins come across as distinctly sweeter than those of the village Vosne-Romanée.
