Tasting notes
The 2016 Chablis Beauroy 1er Cru has a delightful bouquet with scents of dandelion, hints of honeysuckle and chamomile. The palate is fresh and saline on the entry with a crisp line of acidity, taut and fresh with just a light nougat note towards the finish that personally I could do without. Give this a couple of years in bottle. Tasted at the Domaine Direct tasting in London.

Quite a deep colour and pretty serious. Already more than a hint of middle-aged Chablis’ wet-wool aromas. Put this away for quite a while! Chewy end. All on trust for the future… (JR)
The 2016 Chablis Beauroy 1er Cru is clearly a step up from the Village Cru, adorned with subtle citrus peel and light sage scents, the flintiness developing with aeration. The palate is refreshingly saline on the entry. This Beauroy is underpinned by a fine bead of acidity, nothing too heavy here, just an effortless, understated Chablis with just a tingle of spice on the aftertaste that leaves you wanting another sip.
