Pale, green-tinged yellow. More pear than citrus fruits on the nose, along with a touch of caramel. Supple, pliant and nicely concentrated if without quite the energy or minerality of the 2017 version. On the soft side and easy to digest. Finishes slightly dry but with good length.

This has a lovely creamy aroma but also a savoury quality and still with fresh citrus fruit. Crisp, deep and long. Very good. Great balance between generous texture, piercing freshness and citrus length. (JH)
(malo finished): Bright light yellow. Vibrant scents of lime zest and stone. Juicy and rather tight on the palate; not a fleshy wine but pure, aromatic and penetrating, showing lovely energy and lift to its lime and orange zest fruit. Finishes sappy and firm but a bit youthfully edgy. Erwan Faiveley noted that the yield here may have been four times as high as that of the village Meursault.

Domaine Faiveley is one of Burgundy’s most important wine producers. The family-owned estate, now in the hands of the seventh generation, is one of the largest in the region, with significant holdings in both the Côte d’Or and the Côte Chalonnaise.
