The 2016 Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru is rich and unctuous in the glass, with tons of concentration and sheer power to fill out its ample frame effortlessly. Black cherry, plum, mocha, new leather and sweet French oak reinforce an impression of gravitas. The 2016 is likely to require at least a few years to be at its best, and, specifically, to absorb its oak. There is quite a bit of potential. - Antonio Galloni
