Tasting notes
A blend of fruit from winemaker Fiona Turner's own Blind River vineyard as well as from the Awatere and Wairau Valleys. Intense grassy peapod and green fig aromas but avoiding sweaty and passionfruit caricature. That same spectrum of green-fruited flavours on the palate. Classic Marlborough Sauvignon but tastes mercifully dry and fresh. If it has some residual sugar, it is not particularly noticeable. Mouth-watering and moreish at first though I think it would get tiring after a glass. (JH)

The 2016 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc has a fresh apple, pear and lemon zest-based nose with a touch of chopped herbs. Medium-bodied, crisp and uncomplicated, it gives good intensity of citrus freshness and decent persistence.
