Tasting notes
The 2015 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Petits Monts reveals a pretty and pure bouquet of red cherry and raspberry, with comparatively little of the tertiary nuances of smoked duck and spice that are not uncommon from this climat. On the palate, the wine is juicy, supple and medium to full-bodied, with a vibrant core of fruit and fine, lightly chalky tannins. The finish is moderately long and nicely sappy. This is a lovely wine from Louis Latour.

Aged for 10 to 12 months in oak barrels of which 40% were new. Sweet oak and black cherry. Excellent ripeness of fruit that finishes with savoury, appetising spice. Excellent length. Really shows off the perfume of the village. A much more immediate and impressive style than their Corton Grancey at the same price. Proper grand cru standard – well done! (RH)
