Tasting notes
The 2015 Vosne-Romanée Village offers dark berry fruit laced with bay leaf on the nose. Compared to others, it feels a little withdrawn initially, only reluctantly opening with encouragement. The palate is medium-bodied with quite tensile and firm tannin. This is a serious and quite assertive village cru with good density and sinew, perhaps at the expense of finesse and poise towards the finish. Afford this a couple of years in bottle to shave its edges - it feels a bit "curmudgeonly" at the moment.

(from 3 different parcels in Aux Réas, La Columbière and Au-Dessus de la Rivière). There is enough reduction present to render an evaluation of the nose challenging. By contrast there is good freshness to the rich, generous and precise medium weight flavors that offer a velvety mouth feel before culminating in a harmonious and vibrant finale that offers good depth and very fine length.
