Tasting notes
Something almost brûlée on the nose here. Sweet start and not quite enough substance in the middle. A fragile wine – or perhaps a fragile sample bottle? Tannins not integrated with fruit.

The 2015 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Lavières, located just under Aux Murgers and matured in 20% new oak, has an engaging, floral bouquet with dark berry fruit, just a hint of blood orange and cola emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, plenty of edgy red berry fruit, a gentle but insistent grip in the mouth with impressive persistence on the finish, especially for a village cru. This comes recommended.
