The 2015 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Champeaux includes 70% whole bunch fruit this year. It has a very attractive and beautifully defined bouquet with mineral-tinged black cherry and cassis fruit, seductive and sensual with one of the best mineral expressions from the domaine's premier crus. The palate is medium-bodied with tensile tannin driven by the crisp acidity, very well balanced and absorbing the 100% new oak deftly towards the slightly candied, crunchy, live-wire finish. This is excellent. Dec 2016, www.robertparker.com, Drink: 2022-2045
