Tasting notes
(40% vendange entier ; one of the three barrels was new): Healthy medium red. Inviting aromas of dark berries complicated by gibier and earth notes. Then surprisingly rich and powerful and quite reserved in the mouth, with a medicinal cast to its dark fruit flavors. An element of salty minerality brings some needed freshness but I still wanted a bit more energy. Finishes with substantial dusty tannins.

Sample. Firm crimson. Great lift and some mossy vegetation on the nose. Polished fruit on the palate – so much so that one really has to work to sniff out the tannins. Which are certainly there – right on the end. Set up for a long life. (JR)
Blackberry and cherry, violet, mint and spice aromas and flavors signal this polished, velvety red, with dense, assertive tannins and a finish that evokes a stony, chalky impression. Best from 2021 through 2040
