The 2015 Bourgogne Rouge, which I tasted from a one-year-old barrel, finished in malolactic in September. It has a crisp raspberry preserve and blackberry-scented bouquet, the wood subtle and nicely integrated. The palate is fresh on the entry with a citrus-like component, nimble on its toes with tart red cherries on the finish. Just a delicious generic Burgundy.

Used oak. Light fruit and quite a bit of acidity and tannins. A toughie! (JR)
