On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, elegant and deep, with fine-grained tannins and a sweet core of fruit. By the standards of Gaunoux's Grands Epenots, it's unusually open and accessible.

Domaine Michel Gaunoux is today run by Michel’s grandchildren, Anne and Alexandre, with a guiding hand from their mother. Everything here is extremely traditional, and the family has been quietly making rich, complex and age-worthy Pommard and Corton for over half a century.
