Medium red. Aromas of cherry and raspberry are lifted by a spicy element. Intensely flavored and suave, at once more saline and more intense than the village Chambolle. More savory than sweet today, conveying a strong impression of extract for village wine. Finishes with firm tannins and lingering saline minerality. A serious village offering.

(only one parcel, from Basse Maizières): Good medium red. Cool aromas of black cherry, raspberry and spices. Juicy, savory and dry, showing the saline side of the year, with the mid-palate fruit in the deep background today. More satisfying on the tactile, concentrated finish, which leaves behind notes of dark berries, flowers and salty minerality.

The 2014 Vosne-Romanée Villages has more fruit intensity than the Chambolle at this stage with lively strawberry and red cherry scents. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, good substance here for a village cru with a touch of spice on the finish. Perhaps a little conservative but hey, it is a village cru and it will do absolutely fine.
