Tasting Notes
Incredible intensity on the nose shows ripe raspberry, herbs de Provence and subtle perfume. The palate is silky and finely textured with great fruit concentration - a wonderful balance of density and lightness. Flavours of sun-ripened red berry fruit, savoury herbs, white pepper and sweet spices and complemented by lively acidity. This wine is elegant with such incredible depth. Stunning.

The 2014 Echezeaux Grand Cru has a clean, precise bouquet, quite broody and introspective, a subtle marine influence infusing the black and red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp acidity, chalky tannin, tightly wound with a strict, saline finish that leaves the mouth tingling long after it has departed. This is a classy, quite sophisticated Echezeaux in the making, one that should be at the upper end of my banded score with requisite bottle age. Dec 2015, www.robertparker.com
