Tasting notes
The 2010 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is quite a bit darker and more powerful than the regular bottling. Dark stone fruits, wild flowers and spices open up gradually in the glass. Hints of menthol, sage, tobacco and lavender follow, adding the final layers of nuance on the deep, fleshy finish. There is plenty to look forward to. The Riserva emerges from the estate's oldest vines and is aged predominantly in cask. There is plenty to look forward to. Feb 2015, Vinous.com, Drink: 2018-2030

Wonderful aromas of dried mushrooms, flowers, plums, nuts and cedar. Complex. Full body, firm and silky tannins and a long, flavorful finish. I love the finish. Such elegance. Racy and very long. Superb. What a wine. I always love this. Drink or hold. Oct 2015, JamesSuckling.com
