2013 Pouilly Fume Pur Sang

The 2013 Blanc Fume de Pouilly Pur Sang is certainly outstanding, yet hard to justify at the price it goes for in the market. It offers lots of Sauvignon notes of green citrus and grapefruit, as well as medium-bodied richness, impressive amounts of sweet fruit, juicy, vibrant acidity, and a good finish. It has terrific purity of fruit and is relatively, soft, approachable and drinkable, yet should cruise for another decade given its balance.
