Deep, bright red. Sexy red and darker berry aromas are lifted by flowers and orange peel. Sweet, supple and stylish on entry, offering noteworthy finesse to its flavors of sappy red fruits and complex soil tones. A bit more laid-back yet wonderfully expressive on the back half, finishing airy and long, with strong terroir character. An outstanding village wine.

The 2013 Chambolle-Musigny Villages has a delightful bouquet with vibrant red cherry and blackcurrant fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with good structure and body, tightly wound black fruit and a precise, fine finish. This is simply...joyful, no more, no less. Pop this when you wish.
The 2013 Chambolle-Musigny is bright, polished and super-expressive today, with a bit more mid-palate depth and overall pliancy than is typically the case. Today, the flavors are also a bit dark, while the overall impression is of a wine that is holding back quite a bit of its ultimate potential.
Healthy bright red. Pungent, fruit-driven aromas of crushed cherry, cranberry and pomegranate. Sappy, juicy and nicely intense, with a minty top note. Perhaps a bit hardened by SO2 (the 2013s were racked shortly before my visit), but this is ultimately a supple wine. Finishes with good length.
