Tasting notes
(from clay soil): Bright medium red. Musky aromas and flavors of dark raspberry and cherry liqueur complicated by a smoky element. Supple and creamy for the vintage, showing inviting sweetness. Finishes with fine-grained tannins and very good length. This is delicious already.

Tasted at the Comte Liger-Belair vertical at the Château de Vosne. The 2013 Vosne-Romanée La Colombière has a perfumed, floral, rose petal nose that is attractive, though not more than the village cru. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, crisp and poised with darker fruit developing on the slightly clipped finish. Juxtaposing this with the village cru, I might actually have a preference for that this year. Tasted June 2015.
Bright full red. Raspberry and flowers on the nose, complicated by a whiff of meat. Lush and saline on the palate, showing good smoky depth but a less pronounced floral quality than the basic village offering. Finishes with ripe tannins and very good length. This is 100% from deep clay soil.
